a trip to the dark side (and probably back)

Hello, hello. Back I am from a lovely, relaxing long 3 days off. The weekend was so lazy in fact, that Jeff was having trouble stringing proper sentences together on Sunday morning. It was so funny. I’ve been there before so I can make fun in earnest. So sometime Sunday morning as Jeff and I were browsing through Target, picking up some essentials when the following conversation occurred:
Jeff:“OH MAN I ALMOST FORGOT!”

Me: ....what?

Jeff: “I NEED TO GET A UHHHH, DRINKER!”

Me: ....a what?

Jeff: “A UHHHH UGHHHHH!!! (throws his arms madly around and opens eyes super wide) A DRINKER!!!!

Me: ....stares….

Jeff: SOMETHING TO PUT MY PROTEIN DRINK IN!

Me: ....a cup?

Jeff: yeah.

Me: ...laughing hysterically, repeating loudly “HE NEEDS A DRINKER EVERYBODY” “DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO FIND THE DRINKERS” as he hung his head in shame and giggled…

Anyway, back to the reason you all came here. At least I THINK the reason you all came here, to see my latest project. Let me start by saying that I don’t do well with dark colors. I should have taken the hint when I had a disastrous run in with dark purple hair dye back in the early part of this past winter. How does the saying go? Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Welp, call me foolhardy because I did it again! I must have been feeling so inspired by Miss Mustard Seed’s Typewriter black, because I decided to use black for my latest restoration.

Oh, I was also a dummy and cleared out my memory card, forgetting that I had all the before pictures of this dresser on it – the one I made Jeff carry around and expertly stage just for the pictures. I am the Worst with a capital W.

I am feeling so “meh” about this one and am already considering re-doing. What do you think? Keep or re-do?
