yardsailin'

First off, let’s start with the fact that about 30 minutes ago I was stung in the cheek by an evil, killer wasp. I was happily leaving my workshop after a good, long day’s worth of work when I felt something land on my face and boom, stinging pain. Yiiiii-owzaah, that hurt!  I’ve been alternately icing my face, crying to Jeff and FaceTiming with my mom for sympathy. A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do.
In an effort to not sit around and feel bad for myself, I’m sharing with you my latest piece, a Broyhill sofa table that I picked up yesterday after an awesome morning yardsailing with my mom. We both scored a few really great pieces and promised to start sailin’ more frequently. It’s so fun to travel from place to place, on the hunt for the next great piece to add to the collection, not to mention the great prices!

Here’s a look at the “before” which already has some gloopy gloppy paint stripper on the top, otherwise, perfect condition!

I painted the legs and base in Annie Sloan’s Old White and stained/polyed the top with a mix of Red Oak and Jacobean. A little light distressing and it’s ready to go!

I think this piece could be used as a sofa table, entry table or desk. What do you think you’d use it for?

This piece is now available for purchase.

All my love,
