who loves a good three day weekend? this girl right here! I feel so much more productive when I have that bonus day to get things accomplished. I finally find I had some time & energy to tackle a piece of furniture that has been on my to-do list for quite some time. It was a gift from my mom and I’ve been aching to get my hands on it for almost a year now.

For this makeover I used General Finishes Chalk Style paint in Chalk White and Summertime Blue with a light coat of Van Dyke Brown glaze on the drawer fronts and sides. I began with 1 coat of white, then added 2 coats of blue and distressed back a bit before coming back & painting the edging details in white (Jeff’s idea!) Here is a look:

it is so crisp and cool and cute! Vintage shabby chic has always been and remains to be my favorite style by a mile!
