who loves a good three day weekend? this girl right here! I feel so much more productive when I have that bonus day to get things accomplished. I finally find I had some time & energy to tackle a piece of furniture that has been on my to-do list for quite some time. It was a gift from my mom and I’ve been aching to get my hands on it for almost a year now.
Here is a look at the before:
For this makeover I used General Finishes Chalk Style paint in Chalk White and Summertime Blue with a light coat of Van Dyke Brown glaze on the drawer fronts and sides. I began with 1 coat of white, then added 2 coats of blue and distressed back a bit before coming back & painting the edging details in white (Jeff’s idea!) Here is a look:
it is so crisp and cool and cute! Vintage shabby chic has always been and remains to be my favorite style by a mile!
I have also entered this piece into General Finishes 2016 Design Challenge. Voting will begin on July 26th and winners will be announced during the first week of August. See my entry here: http://contest.generalfinishes.com/entries/blue-white-vintage-chest-drawers.
Love to you all!
